J. D. Sullivan has been licensed to practice law under CA Bar No. 98057 since 1981, and under NV State Bar No. 5516 since 1994. He has served as a Special Master for the State Bar of California, and as a Judicial Arbitrator for the Superior Courts of Los Angeles and El Dorado County, as well as the District Court of Nevada.

Mr. Sullivan has been married since 1980 to the lovely Christine Sullivan, a fine artist and illustrator – accomplished in her own right. J. D. and Christine continue to be interested and involved in the lives of their 5 adult children. J.D. has a passion for serving his community and church, enjoys playing tennis now and then, as well as vacationing in Kauai, and loves skiing fresh powder whenever possible.
Charitable Activities
Since its founding in 1993, Mr. Sullivan and Christine have served as Trustees and Directors for the City of Refuge, a faith-based, Gospel-centered, ministry providing housing to homeless pregnant girls and women in need. In addition, Mr. Sullivan served for many years as a Community Bible Study (“CBS”) Teaching Director, Associate Teaching Director, Area Director, and National Director of YoungAdult CBS. He is an active member and elder at LifePoint Church in Carson Valley, Nevada. J. D. and Christine also work to help stop human trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of women, supporting Awaken Reno and other faith-based, Gospel-centered ministries. Most importantly, he seeks to faithfully serve His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
